Ah that was a thing of beauty. I understand that CGI is its own form of art, but for movies like this you just can't beat doing it the hard way like that. Absolutely gorgeous.
IKR? That's what made the original so good! I went into the new one with excitement and just all the CGI made me so sad, I was just like "Where's the clay? Where's the jello? I want gore damn it, not this crap!" Also, I hate the fact that they tossed women in there because it felt like they only put them in there so they wouldn't upset anyone and not for any actual story purpose. I'm a girl, and the lack of women in the first one didn't bother me in the slightest. I also didn't like how obvious it felt when someone turned, you know? In the first one, you genuinely have no clue who the hell is human and who is not, and most of the fun of that movie is rewatching it and trying to determine exactly when someone was changed, but in the new one all of the cues or misdirection scenes are really obvious and you could see the turn from a mile away :/
Well, I wish you luck! I've only found a Green Serpent, so.... Hopefully I'll get lucky sooner than later, too!
