Well, exploring, selling items, making stuff or growing plants and then selling them, domesticating animals and selling those... Also! Trick! If you go to your village herbalist, they should have some recipes to cure ailments. Those are unique to your village. Which means if anyone else wishes to learn them, they have to buy the recipe from someone in your village. So you can buy the village recipes, (Also the starter sword and shield from your armorer or whoever the equivalent is, should be 75 FC each) and then list them in your stall for a little bit more than that. And then rinse and repeat. (So you could sell the sword and shield, or knife and shield, or dagger or club or whatever it is, for 80 FC or 90 FC or even 100 FC if you think you can get away with it, wait until it sold, and do it again.)

Yes, that's why I so wanted someone I knew to start playing, so we could pool knowledge since the forums are down.
Up at the top toolbar, there's a "villagers" option. Click on that, you can buy a slot for a second villager.
Also, to the right under your profile thing there's this "active villager" with a portrait of your bat-villager-person. Go to him and click the little shield near him that says "Explorer". Then you can send him out exploring!
