Hi!
Im not that great at talking to people it can take me awhile due to anxiety so please be patient I try as hard as I can, I'm mostly here on the art side but I do ocassionally do stuff with my villagers.

You did a really good job, so I wouldn't worry too much. If you feel like the difference is too great, you can always 'redraw' the base in a flatter style to match your own, I've been seeing that a lot lately. Ah, my Friday was good, been on vacation at a beach house this week and we'll be heading home tomorrow, which is nice. Imissourcatahaha.
I think as long as you follow the base lines and just trace over them in your style you shouldn't have too much of an issue with getting the paintie past mod review. Style changes seem to be fine and your artwork on DA looks incredible.

Man I can relate, I had still have trouble matching the style too XwX Hmm I'm not great at giving advice for these sorts of things, but I guess some advice would be to try and emulate the highlights at the edges of the edge of the shapes, it gives a little extra dimension to things and helps bring things closer to the look of the original paintie style, since that style does the same sort of highlighting.

It is 101 F outside for me right now so I'm jelly, I would gladly be in cooler weather atm.
Have you seen the paintie colouring guide? If you're doing minimal edits it can help a lot I think, and there is a resource blog on tumblr for free edits people have made like clothing for certain villagers or rips of wings/tails.

I know how you feel, it can be hard to connect with other people even though we now have so many different ways to do so!

Yes I tend to accept all friend requests as I'm trying to be more outgoing, thank you so much for the compliment on my painties! I've probably spent the better half of the last half a week working on all of them ahaha.
