One would describe abilities as your twist on y/c's element. So, for example, if I have an OC called Samantha or something with the element of Suns and Fortunes, my abilities for her would go something like this:

Abilities: Ability to summon threads based on the loom of Fate, threads which can be both soft and sharp, and which as she approaches higher tiers, will be able to become golems, artificial life made out of her threads. She will also be able to look at the life threads of people.

So, basically, the first part is the basic premise of their powers. It can be something as simple as cryokensis, or what I wrote above. The latter would be where the powers would lead up to in higher levels, like the peering at lifethreads and such. Passive abilities would be basically powers that manipulate themselves (their body, mind, spirit, whatever) or can't influence other things. Active can affect and influence other things directly and actively. Once again, in them, you'll have the basic setup/what it'll be like at basic tiers, and then at more higher levels.

It's a bit complicated, I know, but does it make sense?

But right! I'd really like to see that, and could I put that under squicks? They're like things that make people uncomfortable but aren't downright triggering. Or should this just be under 'well rounded, believable characters?'
