ARTISTE.
BOW TO MEEEE.
The most expensive item I have
Is not an item
It's an arctic kitsune.
It's funny because I bought it for 1000FC thinking it'd be a lovely pet to have.
I really had no idea that it was worth so much more.
Go sniping habits!
(I saw it on the front page a few days ago and just bought it for really no reason. Then, two days ago, I accidentally clicked on the FD store (I was looking for the bank) and I saw the kitsune in there cx)
Without doing any math, I know for a fact that shifty morphing potions should be less than 10,000FC. I will be doing the math, deleting this post, and updating it with the proper math when I feel like it.
Concerning my last post:
Miracle growth potions are really worthless. I meant that, in terms of market value, they should be worth a lot more than what people are selling them at. But let's be honest. Paying even 100FC to get a measly 10% harvest bonus is worthless. Unless you're working with, like, sunflowers. But even then! It's hardly going to increase the yield of ANY plant. It'll increase it by, at most, ONE plant. And you're paying like 500FC (I haven't check the market value lately, but I know it's less than 700FC) to get that bonus? Not worth it.
Stay away from miracle growth potions. Waste of money to make and to buy. :p
Miracle growth potions should be worth more than 1,300, going off of market numbers.
Consider that the raw ingredients needed to make it are
100 frozen bellflowers - 1,000
5 ice berries - 100
1 ice lettuce - 50
1 frozen container - 50
100 FC
We come out with 1,300 FC to produce the potion if you bought the ingredients.
Nothing against selling them for cheaper as a way to compete against others and earn the money that would have gone to them! I'm just not sure if everyone's aware of the math behind the price of potions that are like 1,500 FC or not.
Also, I'd like to point out that if you have the seeds to make the plants...
100 frozen bellflowers is worth as much as... *drumroll*... about thirteen frozen bellflower seeds.
THIRTEEN.
How many frozen bellflowers can you get for thirteen seeds?
At most, 130.
At least, 65.
And we're ignoring the time it takes to grow the frozen bellflowers.
But my point is that if you're just looking to make some money, sell the ingredients separately as they end up actually being worth a lot more than the final product.
The range for the prices of the ingredients is:
1,490 - 2,150
And that's not even with playing the market. If you play the market instead of selling frozen bellflower seeds at the relatively very cheap price of 80 FC, you stand to gain much more.
Anyway! Hope you gained some valuable insight about the market! <3
Fur Idol is filled with great drawings!
...Of extremely boring talents.
I refuse to vote for something that is so uncreative as to be only a representation of the fur doing its job. I don't want to see Candit brewing up alchemical brews... that's the 'main course' so to say. The submissions should be SPICEY! That is to say... a talent that your villager has but doesn't dislay all the time! Something that fleshes them ou and is interesting!
Your villager could be a doctor, but how does that expand their character? Are they also a tightrope walker in their free time? Or what if they like to use their doctoral talents to create really creepy lifelike dolls of their patients? That's be interesting and fun and novel! Interesting and fun and novel means *don't repeat other peope*. How do you make a fox singing *interesting*? It's hard. But you can try.
For now, I cannot vote for many of the submissions; they're *boring*. I feel like the entire idea of the contest is for us to be inventive and creative, not just to display the jobs of our characters. And then we need to draw that *well*, with a background and everything.
The best submission I saw was a snake doing the hoola-hoop. That was fun and inventive and lovely. I was only upset by the lack of a background on it. It is the best submission that I've seen.
Please do not post on my character pages. If you want to communicate with me, please post either here or privately message me. This is because I want my villagers to remain in-character while in the village. If you do post on one of my character's pages, don't feel upset if I remove it; it's not personal and I'm not upset with you. This is the only page on which I will be post OOC in terms of my own villagers. I will also post OOC on others' pages if they have no stipulations against me doing so (and I've yet to see anyone have a problem with it).
I hope that I don't seem arrogant; I just want to be clear. I'm not actually 'serious' or whatever cx
Hit me up for a conversation whenever you want <3
