Hello , im new here and still trying to figure things out , so if you can give me any pointers i would be greatly appreciative . :)

hello mavelle!! yes id be happy to help you out as best i can! honestly, this sites a bi t of a struggle to understand how to use at first (and since it's p laggy still that doesn't help much)
ok, for starters the first two things i found Super Helpful were these FAQ articles

theyre both important because i didnt really realize at first... how intrinsically tied they were...
BUT YES youve got the right idea-- you need seeds from the explorer class to plant for the herbalist class. one thing that is also important to keep in mind is that each of your characters can change their class/jobs once a day. for example, i actually started out as animal husbandry but then couldnt figure it out so switched one of my character's slots to explorer!
so the cheapest way to get some seeds would be to change your character's class to explorer and then gather for the rest of the day (youll come across plenty of seeds this way) and then tomorrow, you can change their class back to herbalist and plant the seeds!
another way to go about this is to go through players' stalls and purchase seeds and then plant them. this is a little more costly since you have to buy the seeds first, then hope you can harvest them, THEN sell them for profit, but it works!
the last way (and what ive found the most beneficial) is to invest in another character slot! obviously its pretty pricey at first (the first slots 500fc, seond slot is 1500fc, third is up to 5000fc), but then you can have a designated explorer and a designated herbalist! this way you can gather every hour, stock up on seeds, and have your herbalist character continuously plant them all day without having to worry about purchasing more seeds or changing classes, etc, etc. this morning i had maybe 600fc, splurged on a second character slot, and have been exploring + planting all day and actually... made a LOT of profit from selling flowers (about 3000fc)
so!! its up to you in the end but this is what ive found out in... two days of poking around this site. i hope that helps!
