To use the herbalist pots, go to your herblist's career page. At the end of the list of plants, you should see an option called "add pot" or something to that effect. You can select the pots to add there to grow more plants with at a time. You can add up to 90 more herbalist pots for a total of 100 plants.
No problem at all; I'm always glad to help others out~
