If you have equipment being repaired by another villager you can complete the repairs yourself by clicking the Complete button on their career page. If you can't remember who currently has your gear, there's a link to the Incoming Repairs page in the Maintenance Market, which includes a links to the villagers where you can pick up your equipment if necessary.
