Yeah, I had trouble reaching it, but finally did before the end of the festival. Didn't get as many PvP fights in as I wanted.
It was for reaching 1K kills in the Old Foxbury Festival. I don't know whether it is retired or will be returning next festival though.
But that thread hasn't been necroed. The only potential time for it to have been necroed would have been in May when I think the last post was in Feb or March. But even that isn't a necro. Necros are threads that haven't been posted on in 3+ months, not just created.
IT also doesn't matter what you think of the thread, as you aren't a mod/admin of the site. I have seen many dumb threads and unless they are against FV's rules to post them, then they are allowed,
Again, if you think something is against the rules, contact the mods/admins of the site as they are the ones who make the calls on whether something needs to be locked or not.
Except if it isn't against the rules on Furvilla (and since the thread is still going I assume it isn't) then they are allowed to necro. On some forums I have been on, such as Flight Rising, suggestion threads are not in the 'necro' rule because sometimes it is better to put your thoughts on an existing thread than make a new one.
It also hasn't been six months since someone posted, but only since it was created. The last post before the recent ones were in May.
We also have new users who are joining and of course they want to join the discussions that already exist.
If you think something is against the rules, instead of posting, contact a mod about it, and let them decide whether it was a necro (which it isn't since necros are usually 3 months+ without any activity at all, not just from the time it was created) and deal with it.
