Makes sense, the trade system didn't let me cancel the trade after I accepted it or I would have done that! It's a shame you couldn't get them in time, I hope you can breed them today.
Whoops, I accepted the trade before reading your message. You can just cancel the trade on your end and the pets will be back in your inventory.
