Well, USA and English class sorta went together I suppose XD Although we obviously started with the UK because Oxford English. XD
The rest was for Geography class. Social and economic aspects of various African and Asian countries, etc etc. And some politics since all of that stuff is inevitably connected, though later years we had Economy & Politics class and Geo became more about climate and such. Whee. The higher the grades, the more all the subjects seem to merge. Like Physics, Chemistry and Bio classes XD

Yeah I'm not American but believe me it wasn't a geographical error on my part this time! *shot*
Back in... grade 8 or so (forever ago, gods) we had to learn all 51 states and their capitals in English class. (Is it 52 now? I forget) and it always amazed me that Americans didn't have to learn the European countries and their capitals (that said I still confuse Budapest and Bukarest to this day).
