I doubt I'll make much profit from selling houses, really. im just experimenting at this point. I've been overdue to have a few construction workers anyway, so they can repair my precious pots and i might as well level them up and replace my old houses. I'm probably gonna be switching my villagers around a lot and trying new things. Right now though, my interest in this game is plummeting pretty fast. might not stick around for much longer unless there's significant changes.
I stopped making significant profits when the seed market shifted towards selling them at their average plant yield. Before that, when a lot of people sold them at base price, i used to make around 300k per harvest and a lot of it went into my pot collection, which is worth about 3 million on its own. And i liked supporting and making friends with the people who built pots. anyway even with all those pots, and before the harvest cap, I could only really hope to make 100-150k at the most.
My main interest with planting plants was to keep on stimulating the economy and making people happy. The recent changes obviously make that impossible. The seed and plant market is basically nullified now and incredibly boring. but yea, I have virtually no income from my herbalist now. At this point I don't even use em anymore because I still have all the technical drawbacks of having so many pots (it still takes forever to process my plants) but im only able to get 200 of them. It's not worth my time whatsoever.
