Hi, I'm Beaky. I'm a lady who is very in touch with birds and the natural side of life. I love to talk about auras, witchy-things, and life! I also know a bit about reading stones/crystals and tarot fortunes. Feel free to message me if you just want to chat about anything - I'm fairly friendly even if I don't respond right away. Hehe.

You can call me BeakyBirds, Beaky, Bird, Birdie, Bird Mom... basically anything.

    • LMFAO don't worry about it. It's maybe a bit silly of me to change my UN 3 days into playing this but I just.
      I love clowns.
      I love Pennywise.
      Had to do it.

    • I have no idea where it came from! I expect we will all be swimming in pumpkin guts soon!

    • Your words are so kind! I've been struggling with digital art for so long, so I was delighted when I figured out how to paint the way I do with real media - I'm so happy other people like my stuff!

    • I'm actually involved with various animal welfare groups - part of that is we go around schools and talk about how buying animals in pet stores isn't the best thing.

Oh nice! I feel Gargoyles get a little bit ignored for some reason!

Thank you so much - I love your art also! Was taking a peak at your inktober and aaa such a rad style!
I've currently submitted 3 painties - just in the queue now!

    • I've been attacked by other snake breeders, to the extend of them even trying to trash my name and get me shut down - because I'm against mass breeding of snakes - the types of breeders that keep mass quantities of snakes in snake racks.
Snake racks aren't awful - some species even thrive in them. I'm only talking about species that shouldn't be kept in them at all.
That's what I meant when I said "in it for the money" - these types are happy to neglect their snakes just to make $$$. Just awful.

Aw I'm sorry your husband has that phobia!
Geckos are fun little guys, I personally recommend Gargoyle Geckos - smart little dudes, really pretty too.

    • I breed snakes myself, and I've never really been a fan of raising prices of simple to breed for morphs.
I'm not in it for the money, just here to breed snakes with excellent health and temperaments.
The only morphs I would charge more for are like, double recessive morphs. Just for the fact that breeding them is usually a fair bit trickier - and I refuse to inbreed to "make it easier" because what. No. That's awful.
(But oops, I won't go into a big rant about the lack of ethics certain reptile breeders have.)

I feel you on the growing attached thing! Since I breed boas mostly and most of them are live bearing snakes (no eggs!) - seeing these itty bitty noodles pop out - so hard to part with them.

    • Where I live, Indian Ringnecks are pretty decently priced - just some of the rarer colours, like Blue and Grey tend to be just EXTRA expensive.
I suppose they might be harder to breed, like recessive colours?
I'm not super knowledgeable on bird breeding (I'm more of a snake/reptile person).
Mostly I'm cool with birds like cockatoos being really expensive - a lot of people really shouldn't own them in my opinion. Very hard birds to keep happy (though I'm probably preaching to the choir here!)

    • Thanks for the info!
Aw, I love Indian Ringnecks too - would love a blue Ringneck! Just very expensive R I P

    • Hi! Sorry if this is annoying but - who did your forum avatar? It's lovely. (Also - birds! I love birds! Hoping to get an Alexandrine Parrot one day!)

    • Oh good, if I get backed up with more from battling I'll make sure and toss them your way. XD
