Downtime Done!
Posted by Owner-Aspen on 9 Nov 2019, 10:57 am
Hi everyone Aspen here! The database cleanup went as planned, and everything should be running smoothly. If you see any issues, please report them to the bug forum and Quinn will help you out. You can learn more about the downtime changes at the end of this post.
As we keep on rolling into November, I have some special little tidbits to share about upcoming site features.
Used Food Wrappers
These little pieces of trash have been a mystery for quite some time now! I've been talking with a certain shifty traveling hyena who assures me they are worth more than they seem to be.
Even though they may not look like much, I hope you have been saving them up, as their purpose will become clear before month's end!
We smell like beef!
Soon, this item will no longer be marked as untradable, and will be able to leave your account normally. It is highly advised that you remove them from your user stalls (or at least not price them) until you are very sure you do not want them.
Wrappers drop occasionally from cooking and from the cave explore event. I am certain that their use will not be limited-time, so please do not worry about having enough right away.
The very second I get that hyena to spill the beans on what he wants them for, I'll pass that info on to you!
Black Friday Sales and Bonuses!
We are currently finishing up our plans for this year's Black Friday. We will be holding our annual FD sale, as well as offering a special giveaway with purchase through our online merch store. In addition, we have some special items available you will be able to earn during gameplay. There will be something for everyone!
Stay tuned to the news for more information later this month.
Stamp Collection
Is FC burning a hole in your bank account? Need a place to sink all that fine golden coin? You may wish to invest in a Stamp Collection. Stamps are a new item type, and are strictly a collectible. While you may find them from time to time during events, their main purpose is to soak up excess FC in shops throughout Furvilla. Collecting stamps is an excellent long-term goal for the most determined Furvilla player.
Philatelists rejoice!
After introducing Sticker Albums, Button Books and Stone Collections this year, Stamps are the last special gallery we have planned. Stamps will begin rarely stocking in various Furvilla shops today, and more will roll out over time.
ASPEN'S RECAP
- Hang on to your Used Food Wrappers just a bit longer - their purpose will become clear by month's end.
- Our Black Friday FD sale and Merchandise giveaways with purchase will be coming later this month.
- Stamp Collections are live now, and stamps will begin showing up in Furvilla shops today. Stamps are intended to be a long-term goal for determined players.
Now I am going to hand the news off to Quinn!
Hiya Furriends!
Just want to point out a few coding-related items that Aspen didn’t already cover.
Firstly, as mentioned before, the primary purpose of the downtime was to clean up some massive database logs related to the Warrior career. These old unnecessary battle logs have now been cleared and should automatically do so in the future. Any incomplete battles were purged. Rest assured that warrior stats and progress were not touched. Oh, and while I’m on the topic, level 25 has been set as the maximum level attainable in the warrior career.
Secondly, some modifications have been made to player profiles. Any custom CSS should still work, but you may have to revise it to adjust for the changes.
A summary of the changes:
- Friend/unfriend and block buttons have been moved up to next to player names.
- The link menu has been moved up to the top right, links to galleries are on a separate row.
- Trophies have been moved downward and display horizontally.
Please report any found bugs in the bug report forum.
Thank you!
- Quinn
Scheduled Downtime - Nov 9, 10 AM
Posted by MOD-Thaleia on 7 Nov 2019, 4:42 pm
Hello all!
Hope you enjoyed this year’s harvest festival.
I want to give you all a heads up.
We will be going into a short maintenance downtime on Saturday, November 9, at 10 am Furvilla time.
This is primarily for database maintenance.
To summarize, EXHAUSTIVE logs of every battle have been kept in the database since 2017. Old battle logs are taking up the majority of the database memory. There wasn’t a built-in mechanism for cleaning the logs, and over time, this has filled up the database on the server to the point it must to be cleaned out ASAP. Unnecessary battleground logs will be automatically kept clean going forward, so we shouldn’t have to do this again.
Note that this will also purge any incomplete battles that any villagers are participating in when we do the database clean-up. I recommend that you avoid actively battling when we go into downtime, or else you may get an error message when attempting to refresh the screen on an interrupted battle.
Otherwise, there should be no noticeable changes to gameplay afterwards. Battle logs will still be kept during battle and reviewable at the end. Villager progress in the Warrior career (such as level, battles fought/won, and tourny stats) will not be touched.
If you do have any specific concerns you would like to point out, please feel free to ask here.
Thank you!

Hi furriends!
Tomorrow night, November 3, shortly before 2 AM we will be going into downtime for maintenance related to Daylight Saving Time. The duration of the downtime will be for a little more than an hour.
Note that Furvilla time does fall back in accordance to the end of Daylight Saving Time. So in effect, downtime will start right before 2 AM Furvilla time and end right after 2 AM Furvilla time.
Thank you!

Hi everyone. I don't have good news this time.
We've discovered it was possible to generate a large amount of FurGems at a low cost, coupled with a secondary bug which allowed players to potentially acquire large amounts of FurCash.
While the latter case doesn't seem to have been exploited overly much, the former has been; as there was an associated cost with the limited item being purchased, the FurGems were not generated freely but still obtained in amounts exceeding what players would acquire through normal game-play.
The issue has been fixed for now and we're investigating cases of excessive FurGem acquisition. As a temporary measure until a final decision has been reached, it is no longer possible to purchase Warrior Elixirs from the Recycle Shop.
If you purchased "Rock Candy Skull Recipe Card" and recycled them in quantities greater than 100, please refrain from spending FurGems until this issue is resolved.
Apologies for the inconvenience and disruptions this has caused; we will extend the availability of the Dark Woods event battleground to compensate for the lack of availability of warrior elixirs.

Trick or Treat
Generous neighbors are giving out treats! Pay them a visit (3 unique doors per hour) and collect that delicious loot! But beware of those sneaky tricksters, I hear they can be quite generous too.
Pawsitively Perfect Prizes!
"But Lucien, what will I do with all these tickets?"
You’ll use them for prizes of course! I’ll open the doors of my quaint little Shop on October 31st then close them again on November 14th, so plenty of time to earn tickets and shop! And please don't fret, I assure you that my prices will be quite reasonable.
And now I’d like to place you in the capable hands of the lovely Aspen for a moment!
Dragonsmaw Pie!
Hey everyone, Aspen here with some spooooooky news concerning Dragonsmaw pies! These very rare delicacies were originally given as prizes for the 1st Dragonsmaw Festival. They have not made an appearance in Furvilla since then.
Furvilla's master chefs have finally reverse engineered the recipe, and they are sharing it with you! Best of all, everyone gets a recipe for free!
More copies of the recipe will be available in the prize shop.
Now, these powerful pies are tricky to make, and require many special ingredients which only drop during the Harvest Carnival. You may find the needed ingredients while exploring, participating in the carnival and battling in the event battlegrounds. These items will be available yearly.
Looks delicious already!
As a reminder, feeding a Dragonsmaw Pie to your villager will give them 1 random costume buff that they don't already have. Quite a powerful little pastry!
Oooh.. I have one more thing to add, before I forget!
Strange Magic Stones!
Be on the lookout while exploring for some magical colors. I hear there are some new stones in Furvilla which will transform your villagers into some very handsome magicians! Bases for these villagers can be found here under "Strange Magic Bases."
You may also fight these villagers in the battlegrounds to earn more carnival goodies for the duration of the event. Remember, stones can now be collected and placed in your new stone collection.
That is all from me, enjoy the festivities! Back to you, Lucien.
Thank you for that positive pie and stone related news Aspen! And now my patrons, I bid you a fond farewell...Have a wonderful time wandering around our lovely Harvest Carnival and getting into the spirit of the season! Good Day and good luck…

And we are back!
Posted by Owner-Aspen on 13 Oct 2019, 2:19 pm
Hello everyone! Welcome back from the downtime!
We have added several new features to the site, so please let me tell you all about them.
Villager Profile Changes
Our biggest change today is the expansion of villager profiles! All villagers can now hold up to 6 keepsakes and wear 6 outfits each. You may have 6 of the same item, or mix and match! There is no charge to expand your slots for these items - this feature is available to you right now.
We apologize for any impact profile re-arrangement may have on custom user CSS. The mod team has informed me that should your current CSS break any site rules due to these modifications, you have a grace period of 1 month to make needed changes.
If you don't currently use custom CSS, you need do nothing.
Wearable & Keepsake Buffs
Some Wearables & Keepsakes will now give your villager a small buff! Buffs are now displayed on your villager's profile in a color-coded way, which will inform you of your buff when hovered over.
Green icons are costume related buffs. Green also represents buffs acquired from Dragonsmaw Pies. Purple represents pet buffs, for example the Sweetiecorn cooking buff. Orange icons represent buffs given from outfits, and blue represents keepsake buffs.
We will be retroactively adding buffs to some keepsakes and outfits over time, as well as adding buffs to select items in the future. Please note! If your villager is already wearing or holding an older item that receives a buff, you may need to take that item off and re-attach it to your villager.
You may use the Item Museum to see all items that are now buffed!
For the sake of gameplay balance, we have added a rule to custom item orders which disallow buffs to be added to custom items. Staff may add buffs at their own discretion.
Questing Changes & New Prizes!
We have made a few changes to Quests which should help ease your burden and help you to yield more rewards
Quests now ask for less items overall and award more shards when completed based on your level. We have also added several new recipes to the quest shard shop, which create the following new outfits and keepsakes. Each of these new items will carry a small buff.
Tailors and Crafters will be busy!
Also available in the Quest Shop now are 4 new battle pets!
Winter came and went... :(
More Plush Have Arrived!
We have added more Shiftie plush! Magical Galactic Shifty Plush and Magical Primordial Shifty Plush have been added to the Fur Dollar Emporium. Their non-magical counterparts are also now available in the Quest Shop.
We are also regularly adding new plush to Plush Collector. Bees and Cows have been added recently, with more critters on the way!
Squishy!
Battleground Updates!
Battlegrounds now display backgrounds while you are fighting! Huzzah!
Most villagers should now automatically face the monsters they are fighting while in a battleground. The direction your villager faces during battle may be toggled on their profile under villager info - edit. You have full control over which direction they face!
Dragonsmaw Manor Harvest Carnival News
