It’s GALA TIME!!! I expect you will be getting yourself ready for that...Place yourself in a nice Masquerade Mask, and you will look your best. Be sure to bring plenty of feathers, as there will be many objects available at the Gala for your perusal and purchase: stickers, rare and super rare creatures...perhaps other things, as we hosts see fit.

The Serpent Tribute has Begun!

Hello everyone! I am excited to announce the beginning of our 2021 Quetzal Palace Serpent Tribute Festival!
The festival begins now, and will run until 11:59pm on April 9th. The Serpent will only accept offerings during this time frame.
The Gala Ball, where you may trade your serpent feathers for fabulous prizes, will open on April 2nd and close on April 16th at 11:59pm.

Offerings to the Serpent
As in previous years, all of Furvilla comes together at this time to pay tribute to the Great Serpent of Quetzal Palace, both as thanks and for good luck for the upcoming year.
The Serpent provides Serpent's Feathers in exchange for the items it seeks. These feathers will be used as currency during the Gala Ball's Prize Shop when it opens next week.
The Serpent has several specific demands, which you may view on its donation page.
To obtain items the Serpent seeks, you will be calling upon the assistance of the majority of your villagers, as most careers have something to contribute.
The contents of the starter pack are explained below, so read carefully.
Special new recipes!
The redeemable code will provide you with five new recipes.
Crafters, Alchemists, Tailors, Blacksmiths, and Cooks will craft these recipes. Each time a recipe is crafted, a basic item is guaranteed to drop. Occasionally, a rarer version of this item will drop as a bonus in addition to the base item. The Serpent will award more feathers for rarer items.
Don't be shy about donating these items to the Serpent during the festival! Your villagers may continue to craft the above items forever, but be advised the Serpent is picky and will not accept these items next year.
Explorers help too!
While exploring, villagers of the Explorer career will encounter a special event. In this event, you will meet the new owner of Quetzal Palace's own souvenir shop, QP Shopkeep's Goods and Gifts.
Make a left at the Fluttering Fluff Puff stall, you can't miss it!
You may pick up an extra recipe or a special magical stone from the shopkeep!
This special exploration event also has a chance of awarding extra crafting materials through an exclusive openable. If you are really lucky, this openable may also have a bonus QP Shopkeep's promo item inside!

Warriors step up!
Your Lvl 10+ Warriors may wish to help your cause by heading off to the Serpent Battlegrounds to spar with various elemental beasts and the Serpent itself! This battleground will challenge your fiercest Warriors as well as provide you with extra crafting items needed to appease the Serpent.
Have a novice Warrior who isn't quite tough enough to take on the main battleground? Don't fret! The Serpent is offering more gentle sparring and training for lvl 1+ Warriors, but your rewards will be far less... rewarding.
Animal Husbandry pitches in!
In the starter pack link code at the top of this post, you will find complimentary special cloud pets. The Serpent seems to be quite fond of rare and super rare versions of these cloud pets, so start breeding!
These pets have a cooldown of 1 day, and are able to breed until the prize shop closes at the end of the festival, on April 16th at 11:59 pm.
As an added bonus, for the duration of the festival, your daily breeding turns have been increased to 100!
All rarities of these cloud pets will also be available for purchase at the Gala Ball.
Herbalists, get those paws dirty!
Your Herbalists may contribute some lovely flower offerings to the Serpent this year! Head on over to the Cottage Shoppe to exchange leafs for Serpenia Seed Packets.
You will only yield one plant per seed (bonuses do not apply), but your harvest will never fail. After the festival concludes, the Cottage Shoppe will stock Serpenia Seed Packets forever.
Information Recap
-The Serpent Tribute starts now and will end on April 9th at 11:59pm.
-The Serpent displays a list of the items it is seeking on its donation page. Your villagers will work together to craft these items. The Serpent will not accept these items next year.
-Visit the Serpent Battlegrounds with a lvl 10+ Warrior to pick up extra crafting materials.
-A special explore event will drop extra recipes, crafting items, and magical stones.
-Animal Husbandry daily breeding turns have increased to 100 for the duration of the festival.
-Special event cloud pets may breed during the festival and have a 1 day cooldown.
-Trade leaves with Warren in the Cottage Shoppe for Serpenia Seed packets.
-Serpent Feathers are used as currency at the Gala Ball, so save them up. Feathers may be used next year, but once you convert them into shop points, those points must be spent before the shop closes for the year.
-The Gala Ball and festival shop will open on April 2nd and close on April 16th at 11:59pm. We will have another news post with more Gala Ball information when it opens.

Scheduled Downtime - March 26th at 1 pm

Howdy!
We are planning a scheduled downtime for Friday, March 26th, 1 PM Furvilla time.
We expect this to take at least a couple hours.
The primary purpose of this downtime is related to this year's Quetzal Palace festival. Assuming all goes well, we plan on starting the festival immediately after downtime.

Shamrock HUNT!

Warm winds are finally blowing into Furvilla, and Spring is right around the corner! To celebrate, your Explorers can participate in the Great Shamrock Hunt from now until March 31st!
Collecting shamrocks is easy! All you need to do is explore and you will find shamrocks everywhere. Collect 77 of them to craft a special Golden 4 Leaf Clover using a Golden Magic Recipe, which can be purchased in the Cottage Shoppe, along with its older counterpart. This recipe can be learned by Crafters.
Your Golden 4 Leaf Clover can be held by a villager as a keepsake, or you can open it to try your luck at receiving one of the following items:

Updates to Scrapping and the Serpent Pot

Hi everyone!
We are back from downtime, and I'm excited to tell you about some updates we've made while we were away.
Scrap more than before!
Villagers who have selected the Blacksmith career now have a scrappy little assistant to help them break up unwanted equipment! Please meet Olezka, your new helper with all things scrap.
At your service!
Suffer no more tedious nights breaking up old swords and axes on your own, Olezka will help you scrap many pieces of equipment, all at once. You may access Olezka from your Blacksmith's career page.
As a reminder, scrap is used to make all manner of equipment upgrades. It is used in various recipes as well as our next topic, crystals.
Crystal Expansion
Many older crystals have had various properties adjusted over the past several days, including rarity, artwork, and in some cases a boost in power.
With this update, we have added several brand-new crystals. Most additions include completing certain "sets" of crystals, for example the Fusion set and the Tremendous set.
We've also added many brand new crystals, such as the trippy Orinova set.
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.
All new crystals have been added to their appropriate Crystal Template recipes. These recipes will continue to be available from the recycler, but now they will also stock in your town's crafter shop.
Be on the lookout for a new Junior Crystal Template to pop up along with it's older siblings. This template will yield basic crystals perfect for newer warriors.
Weapons, Shields, Armour, I can make it all!

Our dear friend, Miss Isadore, has made it easier to fill her magical Serpent's Pot with all manner of things to produce unexpected results!
They make nice conversations pieces.
You may now also find a physical Furgem (or several) while brewing. You may discard them from your inventory to obtain furgems to spend at the Recycling Shop, or save them as souvenirs of your many concoctions.
In addition to the Serpent Pot link in the Town Hall drop-down menu, you may now head over to visit Miss Isadore via a small icon in your toolbar, next to Tourney status. When this icon glows pink, any brew you have in progress will be ready.
Several new prizes have also been rumored to come from the pot!
Miss Isadore's pot has changed a bit on what it will accept. You will find that more items can go into her brew. Be warned, however, that there are no definite recipes and no way to guarantee the results. The same brew is unlikely to yield the same outcome twice!
Equipment in Quests
With mass-scrapping support, we anticipate most equipment to become Olezka fodder. As such, we have removed all equipment from Quests.
Scrap them all!
You will now also find less equipment overall during your battles, as drop rates have been moderately reduced in several grounds.
Town specific, always-in-stock basic weapons have had their prices increased.
Career Alerts
You'll notice little status icons will now sometimes appear next to your villager's respective career title from your user profile. A check mark will indicate that your villager has completed a task that requires your attention. An exclamation indicates that a Warrior is either in the middle of battle, or an Explorer is in the middle of an explore event, so you best check on them!
Serpent Festival
I heard a rumor from a friendly dragon shopkeep in Quetzal Palace that the marvelous Serpent will soon arouse and will surely demand tribute from all of Furvilla! We expect the Serpent to awaken sometime before the end of March. Quinn keeps poking it in the nostril with his hiking stick, even though I've asked him not to do that.
