Seeking Programming Talent

We come to you today with the unfortunate news that our developer has been missing since the server move in June. We know that some of you have been waiting for a fix to the daily streak, and many prospective players have e-mailed us expressing concern over being unable to join the game, but we have not been able to fix these problems without the aid of a developer. It appears at this time we must accept the inevitability of finding another programmer.
Until we are able to find a new programmer, the Oceandome event is on indefinite hiatus. Our focus right now is going to be finding a developer who can fix the registration bug and fix the IP queue (which was unfortunately damaged during the server move as well). At that point, we can address the daily streak and start thinking about the Oceandome event again, as all of the documents for the event are planned out and much of the content is ready, we simply need the programming to go forward with our plans.
This lack of programming staff has thrown a big wrench into all of our planned changes, so please bear with us while we try to find someone who can appropriately tend to our codebase. As you may guess, Furvilla is a very large and complex site. As such, we have to be vigilant with who we hire to ensure their skill level matches the demands of the codebase.

NOTE: The Oceandome Event is NOT BEING CANCELLED, the Event is simply being POSTPONED.
Actually giving us all a full set of every event item would work as a good "sorry" if the event gets skipped- I know it's not FVs fault the programmer jumped the boat but...That'd be better to do than nothing.
please confirm the updates will be actually posted on site, you skipped over my question and prior experience by the community does not bode well for actual communication to your userbase.

Let me get this straight.
You've known since June your programmer is MIA.
You get us hyped for the OD event with previews.
Like two days later "jk we need programmers to do this thing we got you excited for"
I know FV has some awful communication issues but this is a new low.
Even if the event is cancelled, I hope that FV will choose to give us the completed content anyway (i.e. new costume art, new plushies, etc), perhaps as a consolation gift u///u
i just want to say that it's kinda not great of the developer to just halt communications without so much as a word.
i'd understand and sympathize better if they'd said something about it to you before, but just stopping and not responding? i can't wrap my head around it.
still, i hope FV finds a new developer!
I think it would be helpful if you put this extra information in the news post and not in the comments, for those who don't look at them.. such as the "the event is probably not coming" part^^
RIP Furvilla, it's hecking dead.
Just a basic php nerd, never been a fan of laravel though. I know a few people who do mess around with that though, maybe one of them is looking for a gig.
