Greetings, villagers! Furvilla has been joined by a new species: the Shifty! This is a new rare species that can be crafted out of Tigereye Peak, and brings with it a large change to the Paintie System. Because canonically the Shifty can mimic the appearance of anything it sees, Painties for the Shifty have a large range of artist freedom and do not require the use of a Furvilla base.

The full rules for the Shifty can be read by visiting the Paintie Rules page.

We have released Morphing Potions for the entirety of species available on Furvilla. The recipes for these potions are stocking in their respective village shops, as all potions have been split up among the villages In addition, an option has been added to the Potions Shop of your village that permits you to pay the shopkeeper to obtain a specific result out of a species potion. For those of you who have been asking for a way around the randomness of a potion, especially as we release new colors for our species, this should definitely help!

In addition, some Paintie Rules have been clarified or amended by the Paintie Admins:

- Rule 1 Amendment: When creating a Paintie for a costume, the Paintie must match the base of the costume.
- Rule 2 Amendment: Species changes allowed on a Furvilla base involve subgroups of animals that are similar to each other, such as deer and goats.
- Rule 2 Amendment (2): Masks are permitted as a head edit.
- Rule 3 Amendment: Players are allowed to use base artwork of Costumes that match the Costume they are designing a Paintie for. For instance, when designing an Aquatic Wolf, players are permitted to use body parts from other Aquatic Costumes, provided they are not a costume for a rare species (which does not exist yet).
- Rule 6 Amendment: Rule Six was changed to "Painties May Not Include Prohibited Content" and also clarify that our rules regarding alcohol and drug use apply to Painties as well.
- Rule 6 Amendment (2): Indicates that the Paintie Team reserves the right to reject a Paintie for sexual content even if the specific item is not listed, if the Paintie comes off as sexual.
- Rule 8 Amendment: Players may shrink the base slightly to accommodate edits to the head area of the base, provided that the base is not made smaller than 3/4ths its original size.

Last among the major changes is that we have uncapped the ability to create villagers, though the Villagers page has a steep cost to adding additional villagers. We know that you have wanted to add additional characters to your accounts and hope that this change gives you the freedom to do so, while also providing a good sink for FurCash. We are currently working on capping all careers to a reasonable level so that the unlimited villagers option does not have a detrimental effect on the economy.

Have a great day!

    • Waiting patiently for that exclusive specie for Foxbury *o*. Cant wait!

    • "It is now no longer possible for villagers with painties to change color via costumes, species potions, or by stripping a costume. If you would like to change your paintied villager's color please first remove the paintie (this can be done from your villager's profile)."

I do hope that this gives a refund option OR a free re-upload. Otherwise this is just an excuse to take money from people who don't currently have costumes to force more money out of them if they want to dress up the characters later. Which is completely utter bull if you ask me.
And if they do give a refund or a free upload for those with removed painties, they need to state this somewhere.

    • Given the sudden influx of shifties I sort of feel like those ought to have been put into the furdollar emporium much like the Gembounds, since they pretty much now allow people to make characters with enough freedom that they don't have to look like any base whatsoever. Seems odd to offer a more restricted character base as a FD-only item but make one that allows total freedom craftable.

    • ''- Rule 2 Amendment: Species changes allowed on a Furvilla base involve subgroups of animals that are similar to each other, such as deer and goats.''

DEER and GOATS?! Are you seriously saying they are similar? One have antlers, the others horns. They aren't in the same family either. They're both under artiodactyla's but that's like a TON of animals, like pigs. And Pigs and goats aren't really similar...

But if you gonna run with this. I hope you're gonna let someone change from pig to moose, or any other Even-toed ungulate!

    • I really, REALLY love this update! Thanks so much!

    • Kiwiggle I'm so happy to hear that, though I'm not personally part of those villages, I can't wait to see what you come up with!

    • I repeat: Tiger eye and Olde foxbury will also get an exclusive species each~ Shifty is something different. Just be patient :D

    • Will OFB ever get something good for their alchemists? I'm glad Tigereye finally got something but we still got nothing :v

Anyway, glad something was done about the villager cap and the economy won't be devestated. I can tell y'all listened to the users on that issue so that's really good!

    • I'm infurated at the change of career changes. Instead of upping the quality level to amend it for more players and new players, you drop the values of the new items, keeping the value on the old stuff where it was. I was able to make stuff on my carpenter that was 175/175 durability and today I log in and take my next one out of being created and it's 102/102. Right now I'm so disgusted at this. *Walks away from the game before I get madder.*

    • Hey guys, thought I'd return back with a few more suggestions, thanks for implementing the one I suggested before >w<

      1. Looking through your mini pet stables, I believe that you should be able to see the breeding cool downs when you hover over your mini pets or click them, that way you don't have to remove them and place them back in just to see, this'll be nice to do at a quick glance and being able to transfer them directly to your AH villager would be a great feature, giving things a bit more of a stream line.

      2. There's a lot of artists on this site, and I think it'd be quite nice to be able to have a commissions button on our profile pages, illustrating FC, FD and real money currencies that we accept, allowing someone to order with ease from that page if they wanted.

      3. Furvilla still needs a way to trade items over just purely transferring them, a lot of the people here are lovely, but you never know when you'll run into a bad apple, so for our own safety when trading valuable things and for their own safety as well, we should have more of a page that shows an offer and what we can return, perhaps even a comment box so they can clarify what they want, and you can either accept or reject their offer and they can in turn review what you've sent in offer and either accept or reject as well.

      4. Still would like to be able to opt into being pinged by the site when my pets are able to be bred again, and I'm also thinking when your house for a villager is in danger of breaking, as I imagine some of us won't be visiting every day, it'd be nice to have that reminder so we can repair or replace before things break!

Thanks for listening to all our feed back and being so considerate guys, appreciate all your hard work so far!
