We have been consolidating and reviewing a lot of feedback on various rules we have, and are happy to announce that all of the updated rules have been released.

1. The Terms of Service no longer forbids breasts, but instead focuses entirely on nipple exposure. Breasts are now allowed on Painties as well as artwork posted on Furvilla provided they follow the nipple rule. We feel this best represents a SFW environment while also not implying sexualization of people with that body shape.

2. The Terms of Service clarify our position on game asset trading with other browser games. The short answer is, we are fine with trading, however, we would like you to wait until the game is out of beta before doing so.

3. The Code of Conduct now indicates that CSS should not be used to cover or alter game stat information, including hiding or altering your or your villager's stats, or replacing your villager's image with CSS.

4. Our Forum Rules have now been updated to indicate that the phrase 'illegal drugs' refers to United States federal law, as there are discrepancies between the laws of different countries regarding what is an illegal drug, as well as individual states within the US.

5. Finally, after taking in all feedback with Painties and speaking with our Paintie moderators, we have completely revamped the Painties rule page in a way we hope clarifies everything regarding Paintie rules. We have been struggling with the inventive ways that players are creating some Painties, but unfortunately some are created in ways we did not intend for our bases to be used. We hope that this guide clarifies what we consider permissible for the use of our bases and helps clear confusion.

That now covers all the rules that have been changed thanks to your feedback. We also wanted to let you know that moderator applications are now closed. We received over a thousand applications and have hired our team. We do not yet have an ETA on releasing the forums as the moderators are occupied with ironing out issues with Painties. We will provide you an update when we have an idea of when the forums will be ready to re-release.

Last, here are a list of changes that have been implemented since Monday, the majority of them from suggestions e-mailed to us:
- grayed out Change Career button when idle
- destroy unwanted recipes from career page
- removed white gradient on long Private Messages
- Transfer Currency / Transfer Item on user page
- horizontal scrollbar appear in the message box when needed
- view all recipes/their reagents for reference: searching items in the museum now provides a list of reagents (for recipes), or a link to the recipe that crafts the item, or links to all recipes that use the item
- placed a button in the blacksmith career page that straight away takes you to repair requests
- Villagers page indicates which villagers are sick and with what
- item pages now include links to NPC shops if the item stocks there
- Paintie Removal button to strip a Paintie from a villager at the user's request
- the following items can now be used from the inventory on villagers who are not the active villager: medicines, pets, recipes, costumes, species potions, hp potions

    • Angelic-Horror I can understand unlearning a career, since there's a maximum of four. So if you start with say explorer for gameplay purposes, but later want to forget that and have four others for lore reasons, you can do that. But I see absolutely no upside to unlearning a recipe. And yeah, that button makes me suuuper nervous everytime I make anything

    • (I don't know how tag people so I'll just use @ ^^')
      Desert : Alright thank you!

    • Say, would it be okay to have a normal fox in a Kimono, Mask, and have eight tails, even though the Mythic costume is very much that?

    • I have quite a few questions about costumes, if anyone could definitively answer them for me I would really appreciate it.

I heard that costumes were no longer going to be made available for other species, is that true? Isn't that a little unfair since costumes give boosts to certain careers? Will it at least be an option in the future to equip costumes on other species so that they can still get the boosts even if the villager's image doesn't change?

I have a mouse villager I originally intended to use my diver costume on. Seeing as that may not be a possibility now, would I be allowed to use say a wolf morph potion, equip my costume, and upload a paintie that changes the species back into a mouse? I know that would toe the "no species changes" line, but since there is no mouse diver base would it still pass? I technically -could- try to draw a diver costume onto the mouse base but since the divers are meant to be floating in the sea and the default bases are standing flat on the ground it wouldn't really look right.

Can we upload painties that use the basic bases onto a villager who has been costumed? For example, I'm considering buying a knight costume so my rabbit warrior can get the damage buff but I want her to keep the original base. Is that allowed?

    • I'm so glad we can now use items on villagers who aren't active anymore, especially medicine! Also I know this happened before the update, but the way you can see all your villagers with a quicklink to their careers is incredibly helpful.

It's fantastic to see that this site is looking at user feedback.

    • AAAH IT POSTED SOMANY TIMES SORRY!
      (stupid phone)

    • Hello, just a question. Are the "newest paintie" and "wandering villager" sections supposed to be removed from the Town Hall section? I didn't see an announcement about that but I no longer see them there.

    • OK but consider this on the painties...

1: several species/OCs have short slightly curved horns like DutchAD. does this mean that if we draw horns on our characters in the same style as Furvila just to make it look good that we will be denied because our OC just so happens to have small to medium length horns?

2: I have seen several species/OCs with feathertuff tails like the Dutch AD. does this mean none of our OCs are allowed to have this? once again with the 'keeping to the style thing' is it so wrong of us to want to make feather tuff tails?

3: many many MANY OCs have wings. once again Dutch ADs share this grate so...insert similar thing hear as the other two before it. this may be by artistic OCD here but I like to at least TRY to keep my art style the same when I use a base.

4: Manokits tails are like that of some other OCs if seen and have (one example being my shark pony). one good example of a species that has a tail like this is the Nekoi species on deviantart. if someone on there wishes to put their OC on here...

5: Manokit have large fluffy slightly tufted ears somewhat similar to a few of my OCs. most notably my pony Vladimir. insert art thing here.

6: many characters have large pulled back ears similar to a Wickerbeast. come on think about that

7: this is the odd number out. I can understand wanting to put restrictions on the Gembound. unlike the other three species these guys you can't create. you have to either spend a lot of money on them (and I say a lot because I be broooke ;v;) or you have to play the market to get the FD to get one. while the multi ear thing can be argued.alongside the gem placement I can't argue wanting to keep a unique furvilla species just that. unique.

please just realize some people have had these OCs longer than furvilla has been in production and well before they knew of Wickerbeast DADs and Manokits. yousay you allow us to make our OCs and Fursonas but...it feels ...a bit constricting on how we are able to do so. not to mention some people ate not talented at doing base edits themselves so will use what.they are given to do as I do and try to keep the style the same.

but this is all just my opinion on this...and I probably have spelling errors in there somewhere...sorry ;-; it is a good game tho...

PS maybe an update to edit our comments?

    • I know I've posted so many comments here but I have another question:

I'm working on a Paintie for a spooky costume cat, when I get the costume. Is it okay if I remove the hood/cloak but keep the pose and tailmouth? I think that with my different drawing style, it might get rejected if only the pose is visible.

    • Hawkfeather

I was wondering that too. I don't see why anyone would want to unlearn a recipe or career, and the big button makes me think I'm going to accidentally click it some day.
I felt the same about the old Abandon button :(
