Career Change Times

Greetings villagers, we have changed the Career Change cooldown to two hours. This means you can now switch your villager's career every two hours, specifically at :00 on even-numbered hours. If you don't know how to change your career, please navigate to your villager's profile and click on Careers (View All).
Also, please follow us on Twitter - we tweet small updates to the game there, especially QOL changes!
@MOD-Deinmaar Much appreciated!
This is great! It would be nice though if herbalists could learn recipes from all the towns, I spent so much money on a recipe I can't learn D:
Hey everyone!
I am bringing up the annoyances with the illness system with my Admin, we will update you as soon as we decide how to handle it.
LatiasChild Go to the villager's career page by clicking on the shield under "Active Villager". When you get to that page there's a blue button at the top that says "Change Career". You can also click on the picture of the villager you want to change and then click on (View All) beside "Career", and there you should also be able to switch.
Hope this helps!
I love this! Do you think you could maybe change the recipe amount for some things? Cuz I know some craftables and such require like 250 materials that are really hard to come by and some people are selling them for like 6000. I'd maybe say 100 is a better or more reasonable number
Since my villagers are constantly sick, I made an herbalist and doctor. The herbalism profession seems well balanced (although I'm hampered by being sick), but the doctor feels very out of balance. Since I'm sick, it's going to take 3 hours to craft 1 potion with a 5% effective rate. The materials were over 50 plants, plus the container, plus 250 FC. It will cost me 2500 in FC just to get to a 50% effective potion (not including the herbs and container) and at least 15 hours of playtime (assuming I can get healed and not get sick again).
I also have a construction worker and it feels balanced. There are small things to make that get my skill level up and I felt like I made steady progress. With the doctor, I feel like my villagers are doomed to be sick forever because there is far too much of a time and cost investment to make even small bits of progress. Starting efficiency of potions off at 50% like herbalism would help tremendously, as would reducing the number of herbs required and removing the FC requirement (why charge for the container and extra FC?).
I was also surprised to learn (after growing a variety of herbs to be prepared for my medicine recipes) to discover that illness and medicine recipes are unique to a town. That should be made clear somewhere in the descriptions or diseases/recipes should be extended to encourage cross-town trading.
The artwork is adorable and the multi-planting/harvesting has certainly made life better, but the illness rates and doctor profession need a ton of tweaks to not feel punishing. (Can we get multi-explore next?)
Oh my god that's amazing. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I read you can have up to 4 careers on one villager, how do you take on more than one?
Thanks! This is gonna help a ton! :)
