Seeking Moderators
Posted by Mat on 2 Jul 2016, 9:15 pm
Greetings, villagers! As you may have noticed we received a massive influx of players over the last day. This is far more than our little team of moderators can handle, so we're looking to expand our moderator team, and welcome some new Player Safety members! If you are interested in applying for a moderator position, please send a message to [email protected] with the following: your Furvilla username, your age, your location and time zone, your prior moderation experience, and why you'd like to be a moderator on Furvilla. Please note that we can only accept applications from players aged eighteen or older.
Also, we have a message to share from MOD-Deinmaar, the Head of Community, who would like to address some issues with our current moderators' actions:
The moderators owe the entire Furvilla Community a massive apology. The deletion of many, many threads that never actually violated the Terms of Service wasn't right of us, and we are working to rectify and retrain our team before we open the forums and chats again to make sure this is never an issue again. Miscommunication is no excuse, and we gravely apologize for the trauma this has caused many users who did absolutely nothing wrong. We sincerely hope you enjoy the rest of the site while we work diligently to right our wrongs.
Furvilla has received a much higher amount of registrations than we were prepared for and we're working to ensure our Forums and Chatrooms are welcoming to all members. Please bear with us while we hire additional help! In the meantime, if you haven't gotten a chance, please be sure to read the Newbie Guide and continue your enjoyment of the game.
Have a lovely night!
I've heard people mention getting multiple jobs for the same villager, but I am unsure how to do so. ;u; Can someone help explain that please?
Just to clarify, when it says "message [email protected]" it does mean email, correct?
@MOD-Deinmaar
while I understand the concept of painties (infact, I love them!) it doesn't really fix if I wanted, say, a beast owl, or an aquatic deer. painties only have so much editing that's allowed. And in the same way, I'd feel cheated to put so much effort into earning a royal costume through tailoring only to see someone spend some FD to get a royal costume on a basic paintie. Costumes may have been a good idea in the beginning when there was only 6 species, but the beta would be the time to decide if keeping the costumes is worth the stress.
@Felixillie
Mods in other timezones/late lurking mods are definitely on my focus when looking at applications! So no worries on that!
As far as costumes are concerned, I havn't heard anything about any plans to extend costumes. Only making costumes for SOME extra species and not others would make it even more unfair to players with other species. Like I mentioned earlier, some artists that will have shops open in the forums when we bring them back will, I'm sure, be more than willing to edit clothes/costumes onto the already provided Painties. This way, we don't have to overload Kwiggle, our player artists have a large chance to make some money/FC/FD/etc, and people have a much larger window for costume and clothing ideas.
Xylichio - Another costume idea would be a contest, once every couple weeks there is a species/costume contest similar to fur idol. where people can vote and the winner gets their design idea worked into a costume? for example, one week could be "Fluffy Rodent" and all the entires would be a take on a bundled up snow rodent for a chance to become to official costume?
Also on the topic of costumes from earlier, I feel if just the 6 originals were kept it would feel unfair to all the other species and make tailor a very under appreciated job. I'm not saying overload Kiwiggle because that's just inhumane. But it might be better to either drop costumes all together, or set up "holidays" of sorts where a costume might be released for a select group or something?
To apply, do we just use the Contact Us link?

for something like that I'd suggest having 2 seperate villiagers, a warrior and a blacksmith, they can simultaniously work that way.
I created a villager with a dual career as warrior and blacksmith. Her weapons and armor as a warrior was getting pretty low, so I switched her to blacksmith, only now I can't find out how to access/unequip the weapon and shield she had on as a warrior, and now I can't change her back to warrior for a whole 'nother day. It would really, really suck if I had to wait that long to career change her so I could unequip, and then another day to career change back to blacksmith so I could repair it. Please tell me there's a faster way I'm overlooking.
Since ppl are asking questions. Does anyone know if they have implemented the toothy token. It may be an uncommon item but I have gotten extremely super rare items but still haven't found a token yet which is ridiculous.
