Changes Coming to the Feast in February
Posted by Owner-Aspen on 15 Jan 2019, 8:46 pm
We have some changes coming soon to the Feast!
The basic structure and function of the Feast, as well as the cooking career, will remain generally the same. However, we are making important changes to prizes and placement.
These plans are scheduled to go into effect for February's Feast. Please read them carefully.
One Villager Per Account May Register for the Feast
You will no longer need to feed multiple villagers to obtain a mini-pet set. Each pet prize tier will award two pets.
Tiers Instead of Places
Starting with February's Feast, prizes will be awarded in tiers. This means that any number of players will be able to reach each prize tier, and you will be able to plan ahead for a Feast knowing just how many food points you will need to earn the prize you desire.
Feast Participation Ribbon
The tiers are as follows:
A player will earn the prizes from the tier they achieve, as well as each tier surpassed on the ladder, with the exception of trophies.
Your villager will receive the trophy for their profile which corresponds to the highest tier they achieve, if applicable.
10 Points - Common Animal x2, Used Food Wrapper
25 Points - Uncommon Animal x2, Feast Button (button will change each month)
100 Points - Rare Animal x2, Feast Participant Ribbon Keepsake
500 Points - Super Rare Animal x2, Bronze Trophy
1500 Points - Magical Sweetiecorn, Silver Trophy
5000 Points - Worker Slot Coupon, Gold Trophy
The new item, Used Food Wrapper Is quite mysterious! I do believe that those who hold onto many wrappers will eventually be rewarded! Er... eventually!
About Worker Totems
Worker Slot Totem will be pulled from the top prize tier. It will be replaced with Worker Slot Coupon, which will function the same way as the totem, but is untradable.
Worker Slot Coupon
Worker Slot Totem will be moved to the FurDollar Emporium.
Ingredient Availability
In an effort to make sure that cooking ingredients do not price spike out of control due to the above changes, we will be running new multi-skill-level rotating battlegrounds as well as an explore event that will drop common cooking ingredients. Look for these events to start within the next few days.
We also have several new recipes on the way!
Downtime as We Make Changes
The site will go down at 11:55 PM on January 31st to implement the above changes.
This means that the Feast will conclude at 11:55 PM, not Midnight.
Do not plan to feed past 11:55 PM on January 31st for the current Feast.
You will be able to start feeding your registered villager for the month once the site comes back online.
Who's Hungry?

Oh a pair!! sjfkjsdd my dumb butt must've glossed over that sorry ;;;
Holy crap, thank you so much. These are some fantastic changes. Will probably be my favourite for a while as I've really waited for some changes to the feast and worker totems.
I love the tiers and worker slot coupons. My only issue is that I like collecting at least 3 or 4 SR's if I love them a lot so I can put it as a villager pet and menagerie :c
But I understand the cap and I love that we will only need to feed one villager from now.
I was thinking though... is there a cap or expiration date on how many worker totems and coupons you can use? Because if someone eventually has like... 10 cooks, 10 warriors and 10 explorers they'd be able to reach the tier more easily each month and potentially break the economy or future events too.
I was going to say 500 is steep, but then I remembered I get my 2 villagers to 200-250 fp on average to hit the mark. This seems fair!
Exciting updates!! Can't wait for the next feast! :D
yeah i know....that's why i said it *continues* the problem people already had, not creates it
SilverDeath AuroraTheBeauty Note that you now receive a pet pair at the 500 point tier, instead of one pet. Feast pets are breedable as well, so if you miss the SR tier, you can still breed one.
Limiting the amount of villagers and calming the competition also frees us up to allow more special food drop events from time to time.
CarrotCube Animal Husbandry is on our list to revamp, and the odds won't always be so bad. There will also be new content to help keep the value of SRs. Our goal is to make all parts of the site enjoyable and encourage participation in all careers. The villager entry cap was necessary for game balance, especially if we want to do special food drop events from time to time.
Oregoncoast Worker Slot Coupons are untradeable. If someone wants to purchase a Worker Slot Totem, they must do so through the FurDollar Emporium or from another player who has a Worker Slot Totem.
Kaible Players were already able to "pay" for a totem, as buying food for FD is already possible. Putting the Worker Totem in the FDE caps the price of food and existing totems still on the market.
Yay on taking out the competition! Big friggin yikes on the SR being 500 points, the requirement doesn't even need 300 points as it is and it's a little hurtful to casual players. Meh.
Okay so I'm a bit dense, does this mean someone can't buy a FD Worker Totem Coupon for me to resell?? That means I'd need to buy FDs so I could buy a Worker Totem slot directly, right?
Aside from that, they look like intriguing changes c=. I'm willing to see how it works out.
Nooo! The reason I used 3 villagers in the feast was to get 3 SRs ;A; (Two for the menagerie, one as a proper Villager Minipet)
Now I wont be able to since Breeding is incredibly crappy...
