Stop it!

Hey everyone!
It's a bit sad to say, but we've had an influx of multi-accounters lately; people have intentionally been exploiting the mass award system to gain multiple copies of various items. This sort of behaviour is extremely unfair on those who play legitimately.
Previously we updated the rules to state that multi-accounters will have all their currency wiped. People have claimed this is unfair - and while I agree to some extent that losing all your progress is unfair, cheating & exploiting the economy is a serious offense, and there's no simple way to go through and decide what items are legitimate due to the extensive amount of trading players do.
To that end, I'd like to remind people to stop multi-accounting. If you are multi-accounting currently, please send a report - you won't receive an infraction, and we'll manually track down and remove items where appropriate. This amnesty period only applies through to Jan 1.
To reinforce the message:
If you do not come forward with a report, when you are caught multi-accounting all items and currency will be removed from your account. You will not be able to appeal this.
Seems like a fair punishment to me. Cheaters need to learn there are consequences for their actions.
Regarding the IP concerns: I can't reveal specifics, but we don't use IP addresses to determine multi-accounts.
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you're doing this. Also I think it makes no sense to claim it's unfair if you wipe everything from an account that has intentionally cheated by doing something as serious as multi-accounting.
I don't think the punishment is unfair at all. They should have known the consequences, and even if they hadn't read the rules, ignorance is not an excuse. Y'all are doing great, keep doing what your doing! :)
I have no problem with wiping cheater's accounts. However are you keeping track of those who have multiple people at same ip? Like myself, daughter and son-in law.
My spouse and I both use the same computer (which is mentioned on my profile) so I too hope it isn't just IP-based. I've also traded with them a few times as they live in Olde Foxbury and bought me the battle moos after I sent them the FC to do so
My matesprite/SO has been visiting me for a little bit lately and from time to time she uses my computer to access her account when she visits as she is unable to at home in the past. She's now able to access it from her home out of state, and I hope this won't cause any troubles for her using my computer to access her account...
I honestly think that is fair, it's cheating and how it's being handled is really good. My friend has an account that I made for her with my email and at my IP address though.... and she doesn't use it anymore lately but she's sent me things that I need or she just doesn't want anymore gah >.< Hopefully it doesn't get me in trouble, I adore Furvilla.
Totally understandable. However, please don't ban based on IPs. I know a lot of people (myself included) often use public WiFi to access furvilla, or might have siblings who play FV too.
wisteria smacking multiaccounters on the snout with a newspaper
but yeah don't ban based on IPs pwease, i play from work and public IPs a lot nowadays
