Furvilla will be in open beta registration from July 1st - July 8th. During this period, any player who is interested in engaging in the open beta is welcome to register an account. Accounts will be given a beta trophy upon registration that will remain with their account when launch is scheduled. After the registration period, the game will commence through beta until it is prepared for launch, in which registration will open again.

A note about beta testing: the goals of beta testing are finding and eliminating bugs in the game as well as attempting to balance to economy. Ideally, the amount of money and items flowing into the economy from the game's features should equal the amount of money and items flowing out of the economy into the features. We may reset currency/items, accounts, or features as we work to balance the game so it's fun without being too hard or too easy. We anticipate that players will be able to keep their accounts, but they may not be able to keep all the contents of the account.

A note on premium currency: the premium currency (FurDollar) functions are working right now. While we don't anticipate having to reset premium currencies or items, please know that if we do (such as a bug is discovered that generates premium currency) we will promptly return the currency and items to their purchasers immediately after.

Happy testing!

    • Can it be made into an app if possible? Or at least playable for Android tablets? Because that's what I have and I'd like to have this game and to test Beta on the go, mobility I believe is key. I really want to try Beta.

    • Okay, serious feedback time:

The game needs more things to do, goals to work towards. Like I know things are slow right now because it's been two days and players are just starting to earn and collect things, but to what end? This sentence in the newbie welcome article really stuck out to me:
"Furvilla has been structured with the expectation that players will strive to create and use Costumes, rare items that change their villager’s basic image into a special, themed image."
This is the ultimate goal of the game? Really? Why would I do that when I can upload a Paintie that matches my character exactly, down to the clothing and accessories, with as many edits and add-ons as I want, for $1? Even if it was more expensive I'd still use that any day over a character with a premade generic costume that takes forever to create.
We've got different villages, which are kind of like factions, why not take a page from Flight Rising's book and create friendly competition between them? Like with the goal of having the most successful, thriving village based on the proportion of how many houses are being built, how many illnesses are being cured, how many monsters are driven away and so on?
I'd also like to see a more social or story-driven aspect to the game. Especially with the forums down right now we need something or someone to interact with. Doing quests for NPCs? Making friends or enemies with NPCs based on how we respond to them? Site-wide plots or events besides just Fur Idol (which I can't see NOT devolving into a popularity contest with the same handful of winners over and over).
The art for this game is so cute and I really want to see it turn into something great! But right now there's not anything for me to do but have my jackal collect items every hour (I haven't even been selling them because listing them in the shop is SUCH a hassle) and dink around with a Paintie in Photoshop. If Furvilla doesn't add more activities and things to work towards, I can't see myself logging in regularly a year from now.

    • Sure! I would love to test the beta version!

    • Ooh, I did notice one thing that I would like to see fixed. When in the career portion of the villager's profile, there's the little description of their career as on the top. The default pronoun for the villagers' descriptions is 'they'. I feel there could be a mechanic implemented to match the correct pronouns from the selected gender to appear on the villagers' career profiles and throughout the game when the character is being referred to.
      Just a thought :)

    • I would like to test the beta version of the game of is possible

    • Its just a little bit of lag but everything is going good so far

    • It seems that I don't have a trophy on my account either! :'(
But regardless, I really enjoy the site and haven't encountered any specific game mechanic problems thus far. Thanks, admins!

    • Also:

Maybe make it so that there are two careers each villager can get. Maybe complimentary ones. Or one active/one passive. Such as Warrior/Alchemist or Explorer/Herbalist

    • Continued:

Warriors healing time. Maybe earn more HP while inactive and not battling. That or have a wider range of potions.

I joined on the second of July and do not have my BETA TROPHY. I would adore keeping one.

CONFIRMATION of swapping careers. I pressed the wrong button for the career (due to not lining it up) and realized too late.

    • Would love to be able to do trades. Especially if we have other professions than others. That way we can better connect with our community. Otherwise...what's the point of making the individual lands we can not transport to?

It would be great to be able to visit other shops. And we really need to take a look at balancing things between the careers. It shouldn't take so many items for the blacksmith versus hardly any for the construction worker.

Open up a chat forum. Not a forum where you have to wait forever for posts. Maybe an instant chat feature for trades and such.

An area where you can view other stalls. Not just the search. Better and faster way to restock. The quick restock option glitches whenever I try to use it.

      MINIGAMES:
If everything we need is going to be the same pricing as it is now, we need additional ways to earn FurCash. Seriously. It takes fur ever to save up for another villager, only to realize their career earns cash more slowly than the first. And Warriors need to have a higher item durability. If they don't do their job, the rest of us can't function.

      Community Area
Maybe a java running script that can house a community house. So we can hang out with our friends. Maybe even "warrior groups". That way batches of warriors can defend the town together.
