Open Beta

Furvilla will be in open beta registration from July 1st - July 8th. During this period, any player who is interested in engaging in the open beta is welcome to register an account. Accounts will be given a beta trophy upon registration that will remain with their account when launch is scheduled. After the registration period, the game will commence through beta until it is prepared for launch, in which registration will open again.
A note about beta testing: the goals of beta testing are finding and eliminating bugs in the game as well as attempting to balance to economy. Ideally, the amount of money and items flowing into the economy from the game's features should equal the amount of money and items flowing out of the economy into the features. We may reset currency/items, accounts, or features as we work to balance the game so it's fun without being too hard or too easy. We anticipate that players will be able to keep their accounts, but they may not be able to keep all the contents of the account.
A note on premium currency: the premium currency (FurDollar) functions are working right now. While we don't anticipate having to reset premium currencies or items, please know that if we do (such as a bug is discovered that generates premium currency) we will promptly return the currency and items to their purchasers immediately after.
Happy testing!
Something I've noticed in particular with the Herbalist profession is something to do with gathering, while sometimes the plants gather other times they won't. When I do manage to get into the gathering screen if I even accidentally click out and then try to click back onto the gather screen, the plant disappears and I'm not able to gather the resources for it, which can be increasingly annoying for some of the lower yielding plants, and ones that are more difficult to get seeds for. Especially since the wait times can be annoyingly long given I myself am more apt to playing this game simply when I have downtime which isn't for very long.
This problem of the plants disappearing also happens if the page refreshes by itself if a plant lags in disappearing that I've already collected, or if my browser simply refreshes by itself
If it would be possible I would think to make it a little less easy to click straight back out of a gather screen, or look into getting that fixed.
Otherwise loving this site so far, can't wait to see what comes next :)
Regarding the question everyone has about getting the trophy, I was under the impression that we'd be receiving them after the beta testing is over, as thanks for helping. I could be mistaken, though.
I was wondering, I am more interested in inquiring how to become a creative assistant on the site than becoming a mod. As an writer, I'd love nothing more than to help come up with and give stories for events, NPCs, or other aspects of the game. Is there any way to apply for something like that, or is that a sort of invite only thing?
I am adoring the site so far. This is so advanced for a beta. It's the first beta I've been part of and let me say, I wouldn't have wanted to beta test any other site. This is just awesome. Everything is so cute and creative, and users have such a good level of control over their gaming experience. Too many sites put players on a short leash when it comes to what they can and can't do with their time on the sites.
I definitely think I'll be a permanent addition to the Furvilla community. I look forward to seeing what the future of the site holds.
It would be really neat if we could see the cooldowns of our villagers' careers go down. Also it'd be really useful if the Item Museum told us where we can get certain items..~
Signed up on the 1st, still no trophy yet, but I'm patient.
I'm really enjoying this site so far and think it has a ton of potential, but that being said, it's quite bare at the moment. I do realize it's in beta, so honestly with what you guys do have, is pretty good, just excited to see what more you guys have up your sleeves!
I do have a question when it comes to the costumes that may end up being released later on.. what's the point if we can already make Painties and basically make it already? I like the idea though! Items that take a while to get and you have to work hard for, are always a plus in my books. I just don't quite understand how the costumes would be sought after too much when you could potentially pay $1 to upload a paintie with a similar design.
Excited to see what more this game will have to offer! Good luck to you guys, hope you get a successful game that lasts for years to come!
Oh, forgot to add:
- Sun coins, where do you even find these things. I need a 100 for several recipes, I have won 50 battles and have yet to come across even 1. Hopefully be another way to obtain these, that or the drop chance increases.
Not sure where we should be adding feedback, many seem to be putting it here so I will as well.
- Easier access to villagers careers would be appreciated, right now I need to go to villagers > click on specific villager > then click their career icon. Maybe have some type of drop down under active villager where you can just click the career icon? Right now the only one with easy access is the active villager (unless I am missing something).
- Somewhere to look up recipes would be nice, right now I have no idea what the blueprint I am buying would require, so no way of knowing if it's in reach or not. Plus it would be interesting to see the other career recipes, to see if you wish to choose.
- This is mainly for exploration and I guess abit of laziness? But I would love a button that does 'max exploration' or something and uses up all 20 charges, rather than having to click the button 20 times lol.
Can you please stop the registration? Everything is lagging like crazy..
I never got a registration trophy? That aside, enjoying this site a lot :)
I really hope we get to keep at least 2 of our pets we got, Im rather attached....:D
Thank you for the help with the forums being crazy I appreciate the fact the massive influx must have been overwhelming!
I agree more activities would be good, or guild type things that could have goals, or shop restocking, games (even if they are luck or slot/chance at first) where we could win items without or with spending fc. It would help the economy a lot I think! and item find quests are pretty fun for cash are fun, That and I would love to see a display only/gallery or museum or something like pet treasure chest, and ability to name the creatures the villagers own :) If you wanted to get creative could also have a featured stable breed display on our profile for husbandry, or best item crafted (user selected from items you have made? Just a few thoughts :) My friend also asked for an app but that may not be super feasible
Hey there! I agree with a lot of the feedback comments about more stuff to do, and I know that some of that is probably already being worked out and all because this is just the beta. I noticed in the shops that there was a dragon scroll which changed your villagers to a dragon, and it got me thinking that it would be cool to have some races etc. that aren't starter races but can only be obtained by scrolls like that, which you have to work up to. I think it would really add to some of the game's goals, since it's stated that one of the main focuses is finding those Costumes. Why not make several hard-to-achieve character customization things? Extra classes and whatnot that are coveted but are hard to get to and take a lot of time?
I agree with the story-driven suggestions. Even events and the like that go on every once in awhile, like the current one with the fighters being needed. It looks like you guys are already starting to work towards that, and if so keep going with it!
Can I also suggest that the shop/stall section be easier to see and access? I don't know any of the items in the game, and it would be nice to look through the shops to see what kind of items are being offered without having to search for a particular item name. Something where you can look through the most recent postings, most popular shops, items by category, etc so I can browse through my options rather than having a particular goal in mind. I'm not even sure what's for sale, what the features are, or whether there's any better stuff I should be trying to get.
It's pretty fun so far though! The fact that a lot of stuff is hourly / minutely rather than once per day means I'll be spending a lot more time checking up on things.
