November Is Here!

November is here (and has been for a whole day already, sorry we are late guys) so you know what that means, it’s that time again, new monthly goodies!
We’ve also got some Festival info for you so be sure to check that out as well after you are done taking a peek the adorable new stash of Minipets!
New Minipets
The November FD Pets are here! Let's check out what we have for this month...
First up we’ve got Felilidae! We’re not sure who had the idea to cross a kitten with a hummingbird but we’re sure glad that they did!
Watch out, we hear that the Flutter Bandit’s favorite thing to do is steal...But they sure are cute, maybe even cute enough to steal your heart!
These are called Dunks! And we’re just going to leave it at that and move on...
FD Pets can be obtained from the FurDollar Emporium. They have five day breeding cool downs and are available for breeding until December 1st, when a new batch of FD Monthlies will be released.
Festival Updates
And now we have some news for the end of the DMM Halloween festival. The official end date is now the 14th of November. The Shop will close on the 21st of November.
As for the Pumpkin Contest, here's a quick run down of the reward tiers:
2,500 grams will net you the gold trophy, as well as Chester's Hat.
1,500 grams will net you the silver trophy.
500 grams will net you the bronze trophy.
Due to feedback, you'll only receive one trophy for the highest tier reached. For every 5000 grams thereafter, you'll receive a special Dragonsmaw Pie item. You can now earn up to 20 of these.
On the 14th of November, the Hallowed Potion will have its price raised to 1,000 FD. Be sure to get yours now, if you're after it!
We'll have an update soon when the Pumpkin Treats are working correctly. Keep an eye on the change-log for this!
Finally, we'd like to apologize to everyone for the chaos of the event, and thank everyone for your patience - we've pushed back the closing date to make sure everything goes smoothly. As some form of compensation, we'll have a bonus exploration event available from the 14th through to the 21st.
Regarding Monthly Contests
Unfortunately we won’t be hosting our normal monthly contests this month. We are seeing very low participation numbers and are planning to do some polling and chatting with all of you out there to see what we can do to make contests more appealing.
We are hoping to be able to come back to you all in December with improved contests that you’ll be lots more interested in entering. And we are looking forward to working with you guys to make that happen!
As for the September and October winners, be on the lookout for a big news post later this week with ALL of the winning entries!
*We will also be announcing the results of the Recycle Species vote soon, we haven’t forgotten, just working out a few little details behind the scenes.*
Thanks for reading, see you all again soon!

@Adming-Wisteria Oh alright! :D
My instant thought about the contests is that if the results were posted more quickly after the end of the contests, you'd see more participation. Like, people who entered in September didn't know when it was okay to redo their houses for October, or update their CSS, or which villagers they should enter, because the September results weren't out before the end of the NEXT contest's end date. If you WERE doing it in November and hadn't posted the results until at least the end of the first week of November, that's one less week of preparation for people in September and October who were waiting for results before entering a new contest. But that's just my two cents. We'll see what the poll says. I just know I don't like entering contests again and again without knowing if I won the past contest or two, it's a little confusing! Hoping to see the contests return in December! The judges probably need a break anyway.
Oh wow! Thank you!
Admin-Wisteria Thanks for the clarification~
Admin-Wisteria Thank you very much for the clarification! ^q^

Sorry about the confusion! But yeah, points = grams. If you have a pumpkin larger than 2500 grams, you'll receive the gold trophy.
Thanks for raising the pie rewards, that helps. And thank you both Mat and Wisteria for the communication during the chaos! Good idea to give contests a break, you have enough on your plates!
Are points and grams directly proportional?
Curious regarding the points / grams difference. Is there a separate page for the Pumpkin Contest? Or will it remain only on our Herbalist's pages?
