November Is Here!

November is here (and has been for a whole day already, sorry we are late guys) so you know what that means, it’s that time again, new monthly goodies!
We’ve also got some Festival info for you so be sure to check that out as well after you are done taking a peek the adorable new stash of Minipets!
New Minipets
The November FD Pets are here! Let's check out what we have for this month...
First up we’ve got Felilidae! We’re not sure who had the idea to cross a kitten with a hummingbird but we’re sure glad that they did!
Watch out, we hear that the Flutter Bandit’s favorite thing to do is steal...But they sure are cute, maybe even cute enough to steal your heart!
These are called Dunks! And we’re just going to leave it at that and move on...
FD Pets can be obtained from the FurDollar Emporium. They have five day breeding cool downs and are available for breeding until December 1st, when a new batch of FD Monthlies will be released.
Festival Updates
And now we have some news for the end of the DMM Halloween festival. The official end date is now the 14th of November. The Shop will close on the 21st of November.
As for the Pumpkin Contest, here's a quick run down of the reward tiers:
2,500 grams will net you the gold trophy, as well as Chester's Hat.
1,500 grams will net you the silver trophy.
500 grams will net you the bronze trophy.
Due to feedback, you'll only receive one trophy for the highest tier reached. For every 5000 grams thereafter, you'll receive a special Dragonsmaw Pie item. You can now earn up to 20 of these.
On the 14th of November, the Hallowed Potion will have its price raised to 1,000 FD. Be sure to get yours now, if you're after it!
We'll have an update soon when the Pumpkin Treats are working correctly. Keep an eye on the change-log for this!
Finally, we'd like to apologize to everyone for the chaos of the event, and thank everyone for your patience - we've pushed back the closing date to make sure everything goes smoothly. As some form of compensation, we'll have a bonus exploration event available from the 14th through to the 21st.
Regarding Monthly Contests
Unfortunately we won’t be hosting our normal monthly contests this month. We are seeing very low participation numbers and are planning to do some polling and chatting with all of you out there to see what we can do to make contests more appealing.
We are hoping to be able to come back to you all in December with improved contests that you’ll be lots more interested in entering. And we are looking forward to working with you guys to make that happen!
As for the September and October winners, be on the lookout for a big news post later this week with ALL of the winning entries!
*We will also be announcing the results of the Recycle Species vote soon, we haven’t forgotten, just working out a few little details behind the scenes.*
Thanks for reading, see you all again soon!

PLEASE dont get rid of the writing contest. Any and all contests in future will be dead to me if so. XD okay not really, but PLEASE keep the writing contest!
ok but gummy wickers
What do you mean by grams?
Really hated this event and how glitchy it was, which is a shame as Dragonmaw manor is my hometown? I started playing Furvilla again after a period of illness but it's turned me right off the game now.
Are the Dragonsmaw Pie consumable items? meaning feeding to villagers for points?
Not sure if the post said or not,
The event could of gone better and i along with most assumed there would be more prizes .
I will also have to give the potion a miss as affording that much i cannot do as i do not have a job at the moment.
And i am not really a breeder on here either .
I did enjoy the plush's though but i would like to know if it is safe to spend all the points now ?
Edit: Damn it seems like there actually was a writing contest....I didn't even know that because I feel like all I ever see is the paintie/home decorating contest.
Thanks guys for staying in contact with us.
As for some feedback on contests, I want to give my two cents. I feel like the contests are aimed towards artistic people; painties and decorating homes and whatnot. I totally think this is cool; there is a lot of artistic talent on this site. However, that kind of turns away some people like me, who have no artistic talent whatsoever and do not feel like taking the time to enter something we know we will lose. I think having diversity in these contests might garner more entrants. I would say maybe include a writing contest among them, but even myself, who I consider to be an okay writer, just cannot take the time out of my real life duties to really sit down and write something, unless the theme is extremely interesting OR if the prizes are just to die for.
Also can I just offer a suggestion from way out in life field...what is going on with the official furvilla store? I would totally love to buy some real life merch from you guys but I never hear anything on that end of things.
aw man, I was really looking forward to the monthly contests this month. I didn't get a chance to enter any for October due to obligations D: will you be bringing them back in December or are they gone for good? that makes me kinda disappointed...
I'm going to second (or third? Fourth???) the lack of interest globally being due to the amount of the prizes, although this personally didn't affect me all that much. I think the reason I didn't participate in the former ones is, if I remember correctly, there were several months where there was no writing contest to speak of, or the themes weren't appealing if there was. This was the first one that fit with my schedule and held my interest.
I'd also recommend having some more specific instructions? Not ones that hinder the creator of course, but there was some confusion I know I had about the involvement of villagers. I'd say also allow people to follow the themes outside of FV influence to some degree? Say maybe there's a piece of work somebody works on that fits the theme but rather highlights their own stories or something. Not sure if that'd work though.
I said when FV first came out that there wasn’t enough incentive to participate in the contests. I’ve said the hallowed potion will ruin AH. So disappointed.
