Pumpkin Growing Contest

Hi all! Just quickly letting you know that we've disabled the pumpkin growing part of the event for now until it can be better balanced and tested.
It may or may not be back in time for the conclusion of the event, but all rewards it would have offered will be available in some capacity.
Generally speaking, I'd like for the following to be true before the event returns:
1) Everyone can have a chance to get a gold trophy.
2) Your inventory won't be flooded with items.
I know things have been a little hectic lately, but I'd like to assure everyone your concerns are not going unheard. We'll have more updates on this situation soon!

I can still grow pumpkins...I don't want to take advantage of a bug...
For anyone who is confused: There was a mention in the Harvest news post about a pumpkin growing contest. That's what this is about.
Quoting Chester: "...you shall begin growing pumpkins with the extra goal of pleasing me with the Harvest’s Largest Pumpkin..."
Wait...there was a new part of the event that's now disabled? That's what I get for sleeping... >.> Also, it must have been something other than the usual pumpkin growing, as I can still plant and harvest them just fine...
wow, I must have missed something while I was sleeping...
Also... can someone point me to where it's explained how we get the gold trophy?
I'm kinda sad I didn't discard my pumpkin guts earlier today.. I was thinking on doing so, but it was said in an announcement that they might be useful, so I decided to wait. now discarding them is quite useless :(
Has this already been patched up? I can still plant and harvest pumpkins just fine?

Storm38 I think that there was a new portion where we tried to grow large pumpkins instead of the normal ones (but I am not really sure)
