Incoming Sales Tax

Furvilla is in the process of implementing a FurCash sales tax for the user shops. When a player sells an item to another player for FurCash, a sales tax of 5% will be removed from the purchase price, and the remainder will be deposited into the shop till as normal. The goal of this addition is to help sink small amounts of FurCash and ensure the strength of the currency. When calculating the tax, it will be 5% of the total, rounded down, with a minimum of 1 FurCash.
This change will be implemented in forty-eight hours or at 2:00 AM Furvilla Time on August 17th, so please be sure to alter your item prices if desired before that deadline.
In addition, the Moth Morphing Potion has been released into Olde Foxbury, and three new species colors are released -- Culpeo Fox, Long Eared Owl, and Osprey Raptor. We have also completed construction of the Trades page, which allows players to trade villagers, items, and currency freely. The link to the Trades page is located on the Town Hall.
Taxes in real life are meant to help fund other things. Not taking money from people and throwing it into the void to "solve inflation".
If we needed a money sink, how about more items we could buy? Like more Companions for example. I like the wearable items suggestion ArtyWolf made. They could be more simple clothing than the costume bases.
If there is going to be taxes, how about actually make them fund something? Like a lotto as someone said. Or maybe it funds a special shop that only opens when a certain amount of money from taxes is made?
Having money people are trying to earn just tossed away into nothingness is only going to anger them. Especially, when it's items you're selling that take a lot of materials to craft that you often had to pay out of pocket for. It's already hard to sell them to and make the money back for the value of the materials it took to make them. This just makes it much harder and makes the hard work of crafting to sell more frustrating.

omg literally every other site has a thing like this ppl are complaining so much
I think its a good idea plus if people really have a problem with it just trade stuff instead of selling???
but also maybe a way to help even it out is just to kick getting FC when you explore bc you already get items you can sell or items to MAKE things you can sell and ??? idk what else to say like ppl are just telling you guys to just FIX IT but that really doesnt work lol
What really needs to be done as a sink is to add wearable items to villagers so that we can make non painties more unique or add more things to the shops. This just seems like a lazy alternative to that?
Things like eye colour changers, bows and ribbons, collars, jewellery ect would be a really great addition to our shops especially as the only way you can customise is by painties, I know that's how you make your money but it means users who don't feel comfortable buying FD yet or users who don't deal with that at all will eventually get bored. Just maybe something to consider ^.^
other than the species additions, most of the game updates- though they sound good in theory--seem to be screwing up the site more and more, especially with the economy. At this rate we should just get rid of furcash altogether and stick to trading stuff instead.
please up the battle charges! or at least make one battle charge last for whatever amount of battles you win! getting those darned skycoins is hard enough
You know ... in fact, I'm going to change the names on all my toons and just quit playing because of this taxation stuff. Thanks. You lost a potential customer. Bye.
I will no longer sell my items in the user shops.
Sales tax? Nope. I'll just sell it outright then. TAXATION IS THEFT.
Flight Rising has been doing this for years, I'm used to it. Fine by me.
