Incoming Sales Tax

Furvilla is in the process of implementing a FurCash sales tax for the user shops. When a player sells an item to another player for FurCash, a sales tax of 5% will be removed from the purchase price, and the remainder will be deposited into the shop till as normal. The goal of this addition is to help sink small amounts of FurCash and ensure the strength of the currency. When calculating the tax, it will be 5% of the total, rounded down, with a minimum of 1 FurCash.
This change will be implemented in forty-eight hours or at 2:00 AM Furvilla Time on August 17th, so please be sure to alter your item prices if desired before that deadline.
In addition, the Moth Morphing Potion has been released into Olde Foxbury, and three new species colors are released -- Culpeo Fox, Long Eared Owl, and Osprey Raptor. We have also completed construction of the Trades page, which allows players to trade villagers, items, and currency freely. The link to the Trades page is located on the Town Hall.
Oh, taxs, not bad,if your next step is add more players ,we really need some new bloods ASAP.they come in,they will want everything, for us,just another chance to make money.

if you guys are seriously whining about such a minor thing as 5% sales tax, then you really aren't playing this game very well. it's 5%, chances are you're paying at -least- that much any time you buy something irl. and if you're THAT worried about 5fc out of every hundred, then you can still use the forums to trade/sell. putting a small tax on the stalls isn't going to ruin the economy, it's going to help keep it from tanking completely. what ruins the economy is how furvilla's been for the past month- unlimited access to money with very little effort, and not much in the way of removing some of it from the system.
My interest in continuing to play in beta just plummeted. This is an incredibly poor choice to implement when nothing else that affects the economy has really been touched and registration is closed, limiting the economy severely as it is. I'm not against a small tax but if this was something that was desired so early during release it should have been implemented before site opening.
Players are having frustrations with the economy. Really bad timing to come in and say "now you'll make less money at the same price!" If you've taken issue with how much FurCash is in circulation, you need better, different treasure sinks. All we have right now to spend it on are dinky purchases in the town shops and each other after all!
I hope to everything that treasure actually received will be calculated clearly by the site or people like myself with math and number related disabilities aren't going to be very welcome here.
If you have some kind of plan that makes all these concerns not a problem somehow, more transparency about the direction this is going would be awesome. That there is nothing to assuage these concerns leads me to believe there is no such thing.
I don't think people are understanding why you guys are adding the taxes. It's a really smart idea because it's really annoying how on the market some stuff would be sold lower than the set price of the item so this will hopefully stop the people from lowballing the price and ruining the stall price.
I really don't understand why everyone is crying about the tax. It's only 5%. Overall, it's going to help the economy. The only reason prices are so low right now is because it's a closed community, This will help by hopefully making more people hoard sell, which will decrease the supply and in turn help raise prices overall.
Knew this was coming x)
I hope you guys are reading and listening to all these comments. You're gonna end up losing all your players otherwise. I can already see a mob with stakes and torches forming.
Sales tax is a stupid mechanic, if you wish to create a way to pull money out of the system you need to add things to npc shops that people will spend large amounts of FC on.
To add to my earlier post about creation costs, I forgot about the stupid amounts that one pays if they have an Alchemist. 500FC for House Durability Potion. 1000FC for Saggitari Morphing Potion. Stop PUNISHING us on TOP of that.
