Map Exploit

Maps have temporarily been disabled due to information about an existing exploit becoming public. They'll be enabled again once this issue has been resolved.
Maps are no longer marked as maps, but any maps you craft or had previously will still exist within your inventory. There is currently no estimated time for a fix.
Unfortunately, we have to take a harsh stance when it comes to intentional exploiting of mechanics like this. Thank you to people who reported the issue and simply moved on. People who may have accidentally used the exploit or otherwise simply done it once or twice out of curiosity need not worry, however. We'll be investigating on case-by-case basis. If you suspect another player of cheating, please report them using the standard report feature.
Update: You can no longer add plunder to your hoard from your inventory. You can still use the convert-all function.
so are they gonna extend the event again?

Er.. hopefully this will be resolved soon, I still have a boat to upgrade before the event ends lol. Will there be another extension on the end date?
im not sure what is happening but, if it is about the maps restoring explorers exploration i think that happened to me, i am not sure, but since i always randomly craft maps and randomly explore maybe it did ? sorry. ;;
Can we still make maps ? I have no idea what exploits you're talking about but ok that's ok but will you be extending the event further because of this?
i'm so confused ;^; the only issue i noticed was that the mythical statues had to be turned into plunder manually, what on earth happened?
ohno !! i hope this will be fixed ASAP for those concerned about the event ! I am like the many people whom also commented, i'm both curious on what the exploit was ,, and/or if i had actually done it Q~Q
If it was about the Explore restore, I believe I did experience it once. I always use maps after getting the hourly fragments. When it happened, I thought I just forgot to explore with that villager prior.
Was it when sometimes maps regenerated explorations? I'm really hoping not because that was listed in the event guide, and I'm sure alot of people used it...
